International congress and exhibition on the design, construction, funding and servicing of high-rise buildings and unique structures of various applications took place in Yekaterinburg on December 5-7. 100+ Forum is the major Russian event in this professional domain.

On November 21, 2018 the Krylov Centre hosted a Conference held by the Russian Science & Technology Society named after A.N. Krylov (nation-wide non-profit organization) on the back of a traditional competition Young Shipbuilder –Engineer of the Year -2018.

In 2020 the Russian Federation is going to celebrate the 200-year anniversary of the Antarctica discovery.  

On 12 November 2018 Mr.Boris Kabakov, the Head of Shipbuilding  Industry & Marine Facilities Department of MINPROMTORG introduced Pavel V. Filippov to the staff of Krylov State Research Centre  as the Acting Director General appointed to act in this capacity until the KSRC Director is formally appointed following the established competition procedure.

On the threshold of Russia Day, KSRC was visited by Rosatom and Atomflot delegations represented by Mr. I. Kamenskih, First Deputy Director General – Head of Nuclear Weaponry Directorate (Rosatom)

On May 24 and 25, participants of SPIEF-2018 visited KSRC.

On May 21, 2018, at Astoria Hotel, St. Petersburg, KSRC, jointly with the Committee on Youth Policy and Interaction with Social Organizations, held an international scientific & technical conference of students, young scientists and experts with work and research interests in the Arctic and the Antacrtic regions. This conference was intended to commemorate the Day of Polar Researcher, established by the Order of the President of the Russian Federation No. 502, dt. May 21, 2013.

On May 16, ceremonial opening of commemorative plaque in honor of Viktor I. Pershin, Director of the Krylov Shipbuilding Research Institute from 1940 to 1962, took place near the main office building of KSRC.
