6 july 2015

KSRC hosted a session of Interdepartmental Working Group that discussed how to make Russian energy industry less import-dependent in terms of equipment and software and how to improve its oil & gas production sector. The session was presided by Denis Manturov, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg). Other top officials present at this meeting were Mr. Andrey Dutov, his deputy; Mr. Kirill Molodtsov, Deputy Minister of Energy; Mr. Alexey Sokolov, Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media; Mr. Maksim Kochetkov, Director of Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Facilities Department of Minpromtorg; Mr. Aleksey Mikheev, Director or Metallurgy and Heavy Engineering; Mr. Aleksander Zazhigalkin, Deputy Director of Federal Technical Regulation and Metrology Agency. Representatives of such major Russian energy companies as Gazprom, Lukoil, Transneft and others were also present.

The participants of this meeting put special stress on development of unified national standards applicable to all the manufacturers in the industry, which will allow massive production of goods, thus offering economies of scale.

During this visit, Minister Manturov was brought up to speed on the progress in Federal Target Program regarding the development of innovative Arctic marine technology. In particular, the Minister learned about the results of one of the projects funded under this program: largest Russian ice-breaker Lider developed by KSRC.
