The International Exhibition & Conference forum on commercial shipbuilding, shipping, ports, ocean & offshore engineering NEVA-2015 was open at the Expoforum Exhibition Complex, St. Petersburg, on 22 September. On the first day of the Exhibition the booth of Krylov Centre was visited by St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko, Russian Deputy Minister of Transport Viktor Olersky and Deputy Director of Russian Shipbuilding & Marine Facilities Department Sergei Abdykerov.
During their red-carpet walkthrough over the Exhibition site VVIP guests viewed the exhibits demonstrated by the Krylov State Research Centre, in particular, their attention was caught by models of Arc4 tugboat (Project 23470) designed for sea transportation of ships, floaters & platforms in ice and open water, assistance to vessels in harbor and berthing maneuverers, escorting of ships at sea and refloating of grounded vessels.
The high guests were also interested to know more about the Arc4 offshore supply vessel designed by Baltsudoproekt (KSRC) for Gazprom Flot. The mission of this vessel is not limited to supply of drilling rigs with drill consumables, spares, fuel, water and food but also includes assistance to vessels and drilling platforms in distress, accommodation of rescued people on board, fire-fighting on floaters & coastal facilities.
Working meetings with partners and customers regarding the main competences of the Krylov State Research Centre were held in the course of exhibition. In particular, the current projects were discussed with the following shipbuilding companies: Sredne-Nevskiy Shipyard, JSC, Yaroslavsky shipyard, OJSC, Vyborg Shipyard PJSC and others.
The Exhibition & Conference NEVA for the first time in its 25-year history is held in the newly opened Expoforum Exhibition Complex. This year 480 companies from 32 countries exhibited their products with Kazakhstan, Belarus, Filippines, United Arab Emirates making their first appearances at this jubilee forum marking its 25th anniversary.
