On May 25th KSRC hosted the panel discussion of the working group on propulsion systems organized under the auspices of the United Shipbuilding corporation. The participants of this panel were lead experts of various Russian shipyards and marine design offices.

Apart from sharing the opinions about ongoing projects, including the progress in indigenization of pod propulsion technology, this panel discussion was meant to make its participants familiar with the activities of the main design departments of the KSRC. The guests visited the facilities of Propulsion Division and saw its deep-water test tank and cavitation tunnels. They also had a quick look on the Ice Basin and the facilities of Structural Strength and Lifetime Division, including the test hall for large structures and the hydraulic pressure chambers.
