Krylov State Research Centre at IMDS-2017

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin officially opened the 8-th International Maritime Defense Show, where KSRC is an active participant, on June 29, 2017. During the follow-up tour over the exhibition Dmitry Rogozin, Admiral Vladimir Korolev, Russian Naval Commander-in-Chief, and Boris Kabakov, Director of the Department of Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Technology (Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Trade) have visited KSRC stand displaying the projects of advanced naval ships. The most highlighted showcases considering the recent statements of Deputy Minister of Defense Yuri Borisov and Deputy Naval Commander-in-Chief for naval armament Vice Admiral Victor Barsuk, were the projects of aircraft carrier «Shtorm» and general-purpose amphibious assault ship «Priboi». KSRC Director General Vladimir Nikitin and the Head of Naval Ship Systems’ Integration Division of KSRC Vladimir Pepelyaev gave all necessary clarifications to the distinguished guests. KSRC was also visited by members of official foreign delegations from various military departments, and heads of shipbuilding enterprises. In particular, the President of Vietnam Mr. Tran Dai Quang was acquainted with KSRC projects and acknowledged the level of excellence in the design of marine technologies for civil and military applications. His high interest was particularly attracted to KSRC designs of air-independent power plants — the key element of non-atomic submarine of new generation.

Moreover, the cooperation agreement for the design of ships for civil and military applications between the Krylov State Research Centre and JSC «Zelenodolsk plant named after A. M. Gorky» represented by Directors General thereof v. S. Nikitin and R. I. Mistakhov respectively, was signed during the exhibition in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin.
