Krylov Centre and IAA PortNews held the conference «LNG Fleet and LNG Bunkering in Russia»

The conference «LNG Fleet and LNG Bunkering in Russia» was held in the premises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on October 25, 2017. The conference was organized by the Krylov State Research Centre and industry-related media group «PortNews».

This event was held in order to: accumulate and systematize the data related to the use of LNG by ships, deliver the information to involved governmental authorities, determine the problems associated with creation and development of a new industry, determine the stakeholders who actually influence the use of LNG by marine vessels, identify the leader able to undertake technical coordination of this problem, to establish a permanent Council for dealing with the issues of using LNG by sea and river transport.

Deputy Director General of KSRC Oleg Timofeev moderated one of the sessions «LNG bunkering: logistics, technical facilities, experience». Anton Lutskevich, the leading engineer of KSRC division of system integration in commercial shipbuilding, presented his paper «Potential development of support infrastructure for gas-fueled shipping in Russia» at this session.
